Perséfone  y Deméter

“Bendito es aquel que, habiendo visto estos ritos,
toma el camino bajo la tierra,
conoce el final de la vida,
así como su divino comienzo.” (Pindar)

Mi madre ha sido siempre una musa; crecí rodeada de dioses del Olimpo.  Algunos de mis seres mas queridos llevan sus nombres: Gea, Cronos, Atenea, Venus (afrodita), etc. Se quien es Narciso y, Zeus estuvo un rato con nosotros…. y todos ellos se lo debo a ella, mi madre, mi gran inspiración, ejemplo, y hasta mi propia diosa.

Del ultramundo, aparecen Perséfone y su tio Hades. En la tierra esta Deméter: su pérdida,  búsqueda, los reinados y los misterios de Eleusis. Muchos de mis seres queridos hacen su aparición en la mitología y en mi real vida. Acaso estoy en una especie de iniciación? Diosa de fertilidad, primer invierno y después la primavera, ciclos, luz~obscuridad, niña~mujer, inocencia~experiencia, infierno~Olimpo, vida~muerte, inconsciencia y despertar. Madre e hija… Toc Toc una ventana se ha abierto y he mordido el fruto: la granada de Tártaro.

undertakes the way beneath the Earth.
She knows the end of life,
as well as its divinely granted beginning.”  (Pindar)

My mother has always been a muse; i grew up surrounded by gods of Olympus. Some of my loved ones have their names: Gaia, Kronos, Athena, Venus (Aphrodite), etc.. I know who is Narciso and Zeus has spent some time with us …. and I owe it all to her, my mother, my great inspiration, example, and even my own goddess.

From the underworld, Persephone and her uncle Hades appear. On earth Demeter: her loss, search, kingdoms and the mysteries of Eleusis. Many of my loved ones make their appearance in mythology and in my actual life. Am I in some kind of initiation? Goddess of fertility, first winter and then the spring, cycles, light~darkness,  girl~woman, Olympus~hell, life~death, innocence~experience, light~darkness, unconsciousness and awaken. Mother and daughter … Toc Toc a window has been opened and I’ve bitten the fruit: pomegranate  of Tartarus.
